Frankie and Andy’s Place is a unique combination of senior dog shelter and emotional healing center for troubled humans. Three beautiful log cabins, nestled in a picturesque Barrow County woodland setting, Frankie and Andy’s Place is home to a small number of gentle, loving senior dogs who have been cast aside by their humans and yet who still have many valuable gifts to share…These gifts of sympathy, time, reassurance and unconditional love are then shared with troubled humans in an atmosphere of calm and acceptance to help them mend.

• We only take in dogs from State-licensed 501c3 shelters or rescues.
• We do not accept owner-surrenders or dogs being re-homed by family members
  of relatives who need to give up their pets.
• There are many reasons for this, the main one being that we are here to provide a home for pets in real crisis, not to provide a feel-good solution for owners who would prefer not to feel the guilt of going to a shelter.
• We do understand though, that some people experience hardship or life changes that make maintaining a home for their dog difficult. We always try to help with sound advice and resources where we can, in a bid to help keep dogs with their families if at all possible.
• If rehoming is a must, we do have a wealth of contacts that we are happy to share with those in need.  We would ask though, that you email us at seniorsolutions@frankieandandysplace.org BEFORE you decide to give your dog up and see if we can help you?
• Trust us, there is a lot less guilt involved when rehoming your dog when you know you have
  done everything in your power to solve the problem.
