Our mission is to provide permanent sanctuary, unparalleled care and love to cast-aside end of life dogs in our facility, while also providing necessities to disadvantaged pets in our wider community. This we aim to achieve wholly through collaboration, respect, kindness and a generosity of spirit. |
Frankie and Andy’s Place exists to provide a home and holistic care for senior dogs who were forsaken. We share their gifts of unconditional love and companionship with troubled humans to provide a healing collaboration between man and his best friend.

Frankie and Andy’s Place is a unique combination of senior dog shelter and emotional healing center for troubled humans. Three beautiful log cabins, nestled in a picturesque Barrow County woodland setting, Frankie and Andy’s Place is home to a small number of gentle, loving senior dogs who have been cast aside by their humans and yet who still have many valuable gifts to share…These gifts of sympathy, time, reassurance and unconditional love are then shared with troubled humans in an atmosphere of calm and acceptance to help them mend.
Frankie and Andy’s Place… A healing collaboration between man and his best friend.
PLEASE NOTE: Intake at Frankie and Andy's Place
We only take in dogs from State-licensed 501c3 shelters or rescues.
We do not accept owner-surrenders or dogs being re-homed by family members
of relatives who need to give up their pets.
There are many reasons for this, the main one being that we are here to provide a home for pets in real crisis,
not to provide a feel-good solution for owners who would prefer not to feel the guilt of going to a shelter.
We do understand though, that some people experience hardship or life changes that make maintaining a home for their dog difficult. We always try to help with sound advice and resources where we can, in a bid to help keep dogs with their families if at all possible.
If rehoming is a must, we do have a wealth of contacts that we are happy to share with those in need.

BEFORE you decide to give your dog up and see if we can help you?
Trust us, there is a lot less guilt involved when rehoming your dog when you know you have
done everything in your power to solve the problem.

Become a Volunteer
Our residents are senior dogs and may have special needs. The only special skill you need is the capacity to give and receive love. You can expect to encounter dogs with limited mobility, so petting and companionship are all that is needed.
